Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was lovely. The rooms were really nice, spacious, and quiet with a kettle for coffee/tea making and a flat-screen TV. The view of Ilm park, where Goethe once strolled around, added a special touch to our trip. The breakfast was rich, and the reception staff were zealous. However, the rooms were a bit cold in winter, and I struggled with the thermostat.
I had a good experience at the hotel. The rooms, although just two singles pushed together without a double mattress pad, were clean and facing the park and the street. Having a kettle in the room was a nice touch. The service was reasonably friendly and trying their best, although some staff seemed quite inexperienced. The location, in front of Park an der Ilm and close to Goethe gartenhaus and the walks, was excellent, even though the hotel was closed on Sunday. The dining options were not too pricey, but the food was nothing to write home about, though the bread was tasty. Overall, it was a decent stay.
My stay at the hotel was lovely, with spacious, modern, clean, and comfortable rooms featuring all necessary amenities. However, a minor issue with the bathrobes required a quick call to reception. On the bright side, a complimentary bottle of refreshing Apollinares sparkling water was a delightful touch.
Staying at the hotel was a delightful experience. The picturesque view of the Ilm park where once Goethe strolled around, combined with a rich breakfast and attentive reception, made our trip to the classical cultural center of Germany truly rewarding. However, a slight inconvenience was the rather late check-in time. The hotel's location in a spacious corner spot was a definite plus.
